The purpose of the email group is to share sailing information between its subscribers. For example the dates of any events happening around the channel, pilotage information and other items which are of interested to the sailing community. Anyone subscribing to this group can broadcast to the other members (currently the membership is in excess of 150), however all outgoing emails are moderated for suitability (i.e. commercial adverts are filtered out).
To subscribe to the BCYA group email list send an empty email to BCYC-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (please note BCYC not BCYA, this group email was set up when this organisation was the Bristol Channel Yachting Conference).
Once you are a member of the list you can broad cast to all the other list members by sending an email to BCYC@yahoogroups.com
To remove yourself from the BCYC email list send and empty email to BCYC-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
